Despite all the noise we were making in the media, there was still disturbing silence in one area.

Hendrik.

I hadn’t heard from him at all, which was completely out of character. I sent email after email, asking if he’d received the news about the Australian team. I sent emails asking if he’d received the emails asking if he’d received the news about the Australian team.

But I got nothing back.

I was beginning to worry. We’d all paid for our flights and our gear and told everyone we were going. I tried ringing Hendrik but couldn’t get through. I rang the WPF headquarters in Germany, expressing my concern. I was getting desperate. Then, finally, some news.
